ANTIQUE MARKET
I got a chance to go to the antique market that is in town once a month and thought I would share a couple of things that caught my eye! The prettiest booth I saw was filled with gorgeous crystal chandeliers (Anthropologie style) and I practically ran up to the booth and immediately took out my camera to take a picture...and I got....um...yelled at! The woman who owned the booth sternly told me that because she designed each chandelier herself, she does not allow photos to be taken. I thought this was so strange. I completely understand the principle of not wanting photographs taken of your art for fear of the designs being copied....but how many people do you know make chandeliers? Like a child that just got their hand smacked, I obediently turned my camera off and walked away. Anyway, here are a few other things that I really liked:
This sweet little set of drawers with a birdcage on top...
This really great vintage cash register...

These great old cameras...

These fabulous opera glasses from France...

and this charming old typewriter...

The only thing I walked away with were these pretty bottles. I don't know what it is with me and glass jars, bottles or inkwells...I love them! They will look great next to my growing collection of vintage Ball jars! The best part...they were $1 a piece!

I can't believe tomorrow is Monday already. It feels like I just walked out of the office a couple of hours ago and already it is time to go back! I hope you all have a great week!

Don't you just hate it when someone corrects you, and makes you feel like a little child?!!

I love your vases. That pink one is especially spectacular.
I hope your week starts off great!

I just found your blog, love these photos. Sounds like that woman was pretty stern, would put me off buying from her anyway! I love your glass vases, the colours are lovely together. Enjoy your weekend, catherine x
