A Good Weekend....

 am going to use the beautiful weather this weekend as my excuse for not making any jewelry...not a single thing! It has been so cold here for the past couple of weeks that when weather like this comes along, I just cannot stay inside. Saturday was my day to complete my 'To Do List'...not always fun, but a must. I got a ton of stuff done Saturday, so today was a day to relax.

As you know, I have been looking for a dressform forever. Today, I continued my search at Canton Street Antique Market in Historic Roswell, Ga. This antique market is over 16,000 square feet and is always so fun to walk around. I had a goal today though...I am going to find a dressform to buy. Today.
Well...while I found a few of the nicest dressforms I have seen...NONE of them were for sale. {sigh}
I am finding this is often the case, I think dressforms (good vintage ones) are just so hard to find, that when you do get one...you are not going to let it go. Hre are a few pictures from the antique market...

and...the dressforms...

I just knew today would be the day that I could walk out with my dream dressform...and no luck.
To eat my sorrows away, the next stop was lunch at Ceviche...an awesome little Mexican place right across the street from the antique market.

Some chips, salsa, a glass of wine made and the most awesome nachos in the world made me forget about those dressforms...for now.

So that was my day...I hope you all had a great weekend!

I've never been to that antique market. Ok, so I've only been to two in my whole life, but whatever. Those dressforms were great! I'm sorry they weren't for sale :(

I love antique stores! :) And we have many of them here in Kentucky. In fact I live about two miles away from Glendale, KY :) Wow I have been looking for dress forms too. I ordered miniature ones from Stampington Company. One I can alter and a wire one. They are so neat. But as I was searching online I came across this site. http://www.corsetlacedmannequins.co.uk/category_3/Mannequins.htm
Her stuff is really neat. :) I am glad you had a great weekend. Always love coming to your page. And yes I do feel better thank you for coming by and checking on me. :)

I *love love love* Ceviche, my sorority sister and I go there all the time! Have you looked for dressforms at Scott Antique Market? It's once a month, down on the lower part of 285, off Jonesboro Rd. I believe the next one is April 9-11. They may have some, or you might find a dealer who is willing to part with theirs?
